Being in possession of its own grain elevator located in the territory of the factory, modern equipment for cleaning and drying seeds and an accredited laboratory allows our factory to prepare the necessary quantity of desired quality mustard oilseeds and to offer it for sale in the foreign market
Sarepta mustard is a plant grown as an aromatic crop in Russia in Povolzhie. Its name “Sarepta” comes from the name of German settlement Sarepta (nowadays it is Krasnoarmeyskiy district of Volgograd city). Sarepta mustard is a quite high plant with branchy springs. Leaves are spherical at the bottom and sessile with short leaf stalks, oblong at the top. It blooms in May-July with bright-yellow flowers shooting out inflorescence in a shape of truss. bumpy seedpods 3-5 cm long with styliform beak form after blooming, They are filled with spherical seeds of brown-red, dark-brown color. The taste of Sarepta mustard is similar to Black mustard. The seeds are small and of dark-brown color. Harvesting takes place in August-September. Mustard seeds contain essential and mustard oil. The main active ingredients of seeds are glycoside sinigrin and destroying it enzyme myrosin. Moreover, proteins, mucus and minerals are also found. Sarepta mustard seeds are both food and medicine. They are used as raw material for mustard oil production. Thanks to presence of essential oil mustard boosts appetite, improves digestion, especially in case of intestinal tract weakness and liability to constipation, it has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect. Mustard with honey helps in case of asthma, cough, and while mixed with fig is helpful in case of podagra and skin eczema. Mustard seeds are widely used in food industry for conservation of meet and fish products, vegetable salting as they suppress fermentation and molding processes.
